Storybag Printing with Ellen Rock - 11-16 Year Olds

Workshop for 11-16 Year Olds.

Ellen Rock will lead participants through a creative and innovative print – making workshop where they will design their own symbols to create a final print. Ellen will then guide participants through the process of screen printing onto a tote bag made from recycled material. Each participant will share their response at the end of the workshop and take home their piece both as a print piece and story-bag for life.

This workshop is for 11-16 year olds.

*This workshop takes place in the London College of Fashion Making for change unit at Poplar Works. Accompanying parents are welcome to observe in the unit or enjoy a coffee downstairs at The Works Cafe. Please note that accompanying adults must wear a facemask onsite at Poplar Works.

ELLEN ROCK is a print artist and designer based in London. Ellen uses her painterly prints to create a language of symbolism, opening universal dialogue and using her work as an enabler for positive global change. A designer rooted in community and responsibility – she is an advocate for handcrafted processes. Ellen’s international work combines digital and hand rendered graphics with traditional artisanship techniques and has developed projects with communities in Indonesia, Guatemala and Nepal to date.
